Tanner

We kept wondering if Tanner was EVER going to get teeth. Finally after a few very long nights, at the age of 10 1/2 months his two bottom teeth made an appearance. Yeah, I thought maybe he would get back to normal and I could get some sleep....well, he slept for three nights. After a few more nights of restless sleep (and my mom confidence failing wondering why won't this kid sleep) I was digging something out of his mouth (wood chips) and he bit me. OUCH!! That hurt!! I felt a tooth on top, upon futher examination I found not just ONE or TWO or even THREE but FOUR top teeth all coming through at the same time. POOR LITTLE BOY!!!

Tanner's FAVORITE thing to do...unload !!!

Someday (way to soon) they really will get in a car and drive away.

Halloween

Tanner was a sweet baby Ninja for Halloween. While we were Trunk or Treating at the church he sat in the back of the Yukon enjoying a tootsie pop, wrapper and all.The girls had a fun evening with lots of activities. We started the evening with dinner at the Starr's. (Thanks Chanda it was great) Followed by trunk or treating at the church. Then after a few other stops we went back to the Starr and Helms neighborhood so the "big" girls could go trick or treating by themselves.

Savanna was a 50's Girl, Alyssa was Ms.Smartie Pants, and Morgan was a ballerina.

I made spider cupcakes for Alyssa to take to school as halloween treats.

September Birthdays

September is a busy birthday month in our family, because I loaded the pictures wrong they are not in order. This is my cute little niece Hanna(her brother Peyton is hiding behind the chair) she celebrated her 3rd birthday September 27. We had a great day in Topeka. First we went shopping then the party, it is always fun to get the kids together.
Savanna turned the big 10 on September 29. I can not believe how grown up she is becoming. I still remember like it was yesterday taking her to preschool now she is in 4th grade, her last her in elementary school. I am soooo very proud of the person she is becoming, she amazes me every day. Alyssa turned 12 on September 3. She celebrated by having friends over for a sleepover. Left to right are Ariel, Madison, Mia, Katie, Madison, Breann and Alyssa.

They decided to practice their cheerleading moves. Everyone wanted to be on top but Savanna was picked, she was the youngest and lightest. They were doing great until.......
They fell........
Alyssa had been begging for a camera for what seemed like a very long time. I finally decided she was ready for one, as you can see she was very excited.

Since getting her camera she has taken pictures of everything. Luckily it is digital so they can be deleted. Smile you might be next!!!

Always know what your 3 year old is doing......

One morning while feeding Tanner I realized Morgan was being way too quite for her so after searching (I had to search because when you call for her she will not answer) this is what I found. Pretty....what is it about little girls and makeup and finger nail polish? She was very proud of what she had done.

It seems like her hair is always a mess in the pictures I post so after she got dressed, I did her hair she posed for another. She loves to have her picture taken--even more so with pretty toes.

"Our OUTSIDE cat"

After many years of telling the kids "no more pets" two dogs and a cat is enough, Andrew thought he would be sneaky and showed up late one night with a kitten. He assured me that "Bob" would be an outside cat, mainly because he had never been around people and was scared to death of everyone. Well, as you can see it only took a couple of weeks for Bob to feel right at home.

Morgan has had a hard time with her sisters going to school, she liked having someone to play with. She has improvised very well, Bob has become her little baby. He lets her drag him all over the house it is very cute, in this picture he has a pillow and is covered up with one of Tanner's receiving blankets. She is very proud of herself.

A Sad Night!!

Night has fallen and all are sound asleep. So you might be wondering what is so sad about that. Usually, I am happy when everyone is asleep. Tonight though, as I walk into my room and look at Tanner's bassinet this is what I see, an empty bed (don't worry he's fine.) Tanner has outgrown his bassinet--a couple of pounds ago, I finally gave in and put him in his big crib in the other room. Sigh!! So Sad!!

See how sweet and peaceful he looks sleeping in the big crib. So why is it so hard when you know it's the last one to let them grow up? I have never been one to dwell on milestones with the other kids, I just enjoy each stage as it happens and TRY to enjoy it ALL. I can already tell it is not going to be as easy with Tanner. I love the baby stage and he has been such a joy. For the most part he is a very happy baby.
He started sleeping for eight hours straight at night around eight weeks, so he really could of gone in his own room months ago. I just liked knowing he was right next to me. Besides, look how darn cute his bassinet is!! I loved it and hate that he is done with it. My other problem with putting Tanner in his crib is that Morgan was still sleeping it it. After her birthday though, she must of decided that she was too big for a crib and has refused to sleep in it. She has done alot of bed hopping and her favorite place is my bed. I'm not sure if there is enough room in that bed for me tonight. LOL!! Wish me luck in finding Morgan a bed I like and soon!!
